From Guwahati to Shillong there are several private and government operated deluxe and regular tourist bus going at regular intervals. Good motorable roads connect Shillong with north east and other part of India.
The nearest railhead Guwahati is 99 km away from Shillong. Bus or taxi can be availed from the railway station. Guwahati railway station is well connected to the entire country with regular trains.
Umroi Airport, Shillong is 25 km away from city center. Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) provided bus services from airport to city center. You can also hire or get a pre-paid taxi from airport.
