Ram Navami the auspicious birth celebration of Hindu god Lord Ram is fall on Wednesday, April 21 on this year 2021. The festival falls on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha Chaitra Navaratri. As-per Hindu scriptures, Lord Ram the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu was born on Ram Navami in Ayodhya. It's believed that the Madhyahna or afternoon hours in Abhijeet Nakshatra of the day is the holy time when Shri Ram was born and hence the auspicious puja of Rama Navami is performed at that point. At the time when Lord Rama was born, the five planets were simultaneously during a higher position. Fasting and worshiping on the day of Ram Navami is brings happiness, prosperity and peace in life. This date is taken into account very auspicious, as per some astrology scholars, any auspicious work on Ram Navami may be started without any Mahurat.

The nine-days of Navratri festival are dedicated to the nine forms (avatars) of Shakti. On the ninth day Devi Siddhidatri the ninth manifestation of Shakti also are worshipped. The rituals of ‘Kanya Poojan’ is performed on the ninth day of Navratri with grand touch. Little girls up-to 12 years old visit their neighbour homes to received sacred food (prasad) which consists of puri, chane, halwa, coconut, banana and a few money. The devotees of Goddess Durga, who observe fast during Navratri, invite nine girls to their homes to get blessings of all nine manifestations of the Goddess Durga. Yagya, Maha Pooja and other grand celebrations are also performed on the nineth day of Navratri.
