Holy Yatra of Amarnathji shrine is begin on 28th of June and conclude on 22nd of August 2021 by Jammu and kashmir government. Pilgrim must be register before yatra of Amarnathji. The Registration of Yatris shall commence from all the Bank Branches from 1st April, 2021 onwards. Group of 5 or more members can apply together by registered post. Registration for the yatra shall be done on first-come-first-serve basis. There are mainly three type of registration done by the authorities.

10 Point Preparation Before Yatra

1. Insure a high level of Physical Fitness and advised to start 4-5 km walk at-least a month prior to the Yatra.

2. Start doing deep breathing exercises and Yoga, particularly Pranayam.

3. Amarnath yatra shall involve trekking across high mountains so you must carry the following things in your bag pack 

(i) Adequate woollen clothing; 

(ii) A small umbrella which is tied with a band around your head and supported by a strap around the chin

(iii) Windcheater

(iv) Raincoat

(v) Waterproof trekking shoes 

(vi) Torch

(vii) Walking stick

(viii) Preferably a monkey cap (ix) gloves; (x) jacket;

(ix) Woollen socks 

(x) Trousers (preferably a waterproof pair).      

*For Ladies: avoid Saree on the Yatra track and prefer Salwar Kameez, pant-shirt or a tracksuit for comfortable tracking. 

4. Carry a water bottle, dry fruits, roasted grams/ toffees/gur (jiggery), chocolates, etc for use during the journey.

5. Carry some cold cream/Vaseline/sunscreen to protect you from the harsh weather.

6. Carry your Yatra Permit and any other identity card.

7. During the Yatra you should keep spare clothes in a suitable water proof bag to ensure against their getting wet.

8. Always travel in a group and not trek alone.

9. Keep a note in your pocket containing the name/addresses/mobile telephone number of a  member of your group with whom you are travelling. 

10. You must strictly follow the instructions issued by the Yatra administration, from time to time.

*# Due to highly unpredictable and sudden changes in weather from sunny to rainy and snow, we should have these essential items. Sometimes the temperature can suddenly fall down to 5 degrees Celcius or lower.
